JOHN OSBORNE BIOGRAPHY

At Good Growth Capital, John leads the Fintech investments and leads sourcing in the US Southeast, predominantly in South Carolina and North Carolina’s Research Triangle. John is critical in assessing deal terms across all Good Growth’s investments as well as helping startups determine the right financial strategy. He is a Board member on GGC’s portfolio companies Bone Health and a Board Observer on portfolio company Lindy BioSciences.

John has 15+ years experience in helping startups and independently owned businesses. Before GGC, John was the Executive Administrator of Charleston Angel Partners in 2016 where he sourced and facilitated the cumulative investments of over $10M in early-stage companies by accredited investors. He has also co-founded The Harbor Entrepreneur Center, a non-profit initiative dedicated to creating collision among entrepreneurs in the region. John served as its first executive director for 5 years, during which, he mentored 80 startup companies participating in the Harbor Accelerator program. John was also founder & CEO ofFundingcharleston.com.

John has also served as the Chairman of the Charleston Young Professionals group and board member of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. He was selected in the 2013 class of the CRBJ’s 40 Under 40 award, 2014 50 Most Progressive by CHARLIE magazine, and was honored with the 2013 Visionary of the Year award by Azalea Magazine for launchingfundingcharleston.com and The Harbor Entrepreneur Center. He also has previous experience in various roles in the financial services industry, including commercial banking, private banking, and wealth management for Regions Bank and Bank of America.
